Hey
I have some interesting hands from last week but haven't had much time to post them. I spend most of my non poker time with Jody, either laughing or sleeping and when I'm not with her I'm at my mom's house where my router doesn't work for some reason. When I get a chance I'll post the hands from last week. Also, the blog will be moved just before the start of the WSOP to www.texasholdem.com. I've been given the opportunity to have a blog there and from what I understand the address will be www.tremomey.texasholdem.com. I'll have more information when it becomes available.
The next few weeks are extremely important for me. Jody and I have been looking at condos and townhouses in the AC area over the past few days. So basically I have to get my shit together and make a lot of money. This weekend is Memorial Day weekend so the games should be sick so hopefully I run well, play well and make a killing.

Aghhh.. another crappy day. My first table tonight was full of drunks who were playing recklessly loose which meant I had to sit back and wait for a good situation to come up. I only really played one hand in the first hour. The only decent player at the table opened for 12 in EP, the drunk/super donk loose kid called next to him, another drunk guy called and I called in the CO with 89h and one of the blinds came along as well. The flop came 10d 7d 3x and the EP player bet 45, the drunk/super donk kid called and I called as well. The turn was an 8x, EP checked, donk kid moved in for 90, I decided to call because my 8 easily could be good here plus outs that I have in case its not.. the kid had literally already bluffed away like $400 in every hand he played. The EP player folded and I was in horrible shape because the kid finally hit a hand.. he had J9d for the nuts with a flush redraw, lol. He went on to hit every single hand for the next hour and went on one of the sickest rushes I've seen in a while and eventually knocked people off the table in like 3 or 4 consecutive hands. I was completely card dead and decided to pick up from that table because I was getting frustrated.
I moved to another table where the action wasn't as loose but there was a player there that I was familiar with who tilts easily and tends to spew and had like $1200 in front of him. The game was playing kind of tight so I started the blind raise stuff again and it wasn't working too well at first. So I tried something different... I limped 23s UTG +1.. there were several other limpers then the SB made it 15, the BB called, as did the UTG limper and I decided to make it $55 total. Everyone folded and I showed my hand and asked the kid next to me who had requested some extra loose play if that was too his liking. So the very next hand I raise blind to 6 from UTG.. that kid makes it 12 dark.. 3 people call and I call the 6 more with Q8o. The flop comes Q Q 5 rainbow.. I bet 22 and the kid calls. I check the turn in the dark and its a 6 and he checks as well. The river is a 3 and I bet 75 quickly and he looks confused, takes a while to think it over and finally calls with a 5. The very next hand I'm in the BB with 45s and its limped around 4 to the flop. As 8x 2s.. I bet out 10, EP player makes it 25 and I call. Turn is a 7x I check, he bets 30 and I call.. river 10s I bet 55 and he calls with A9. So luckily I was able to hit some hands after getting the table to loosen up and I look like I know what I'm doing. Jody got done early again and I didn't feel up to playing much anymore so I racked up a monster $5 winner for the night.
One sick cooler hand.. the guy who I mentioned tilts and spews got very unlucky. He had like $1100 behind at this point and a tight solid guy had like $1000 behind. I raised blind utg to 6, spewer calls tight guy makes it 26 from SB.. I fold Q6o and spewer calls. Flop is Ad 6d 4x, tight guy bets 30, spewer calls. Turn 9x, tight guy bets 50 spewer calls.. river 9x tight guy bets 75, spewer makes it 200, tight guy makes it 400, spewer throws up in his mouth and just calls.. tight guy has AA and spewer had 66.. sick.

I had two sick coolers today in very big pots which hasn't happened to me in a while. I was raising blind UTG once again to get the action started in what seemed to be a tightish game. It seems like the games have been a bit tighter recently but it could be just poor table draws.. although it has been pretty easy to get everyone to loosen up. So I raise blind to $7 from UTG and get 5 callers.. I look at my hand and I have KJo. Flop comes Kh Jh 4x.. its checked to me and I bet $42, next to act makes it $100, next to act after that shoves in for $113 total. Everyone folds back to me and I raise enough to put the first raiser all in.. its $241 total so there will be a $256 side pot. He calls and shows K10o so I have him in bad shape.. the guy with $113 has 44 which sucks but at least I'll win the side pot right... wrong turn 9 river Q ship it to to him.
I got it right back from him about 45 minutes later though, although I should have doubled through him if I wasn't playing all weird. I raise blind again UTG this time to 4. He calls as do the blinds and we go 4 to the flop. I look and I have KJo again. Flop is Kh 8h 3x checked to me and I bet 15.. he makes it 40 this time and I call. I bet $5 in the dark on the turn, lol which is a Jx and now I'm praying him to raise me. He laughs and just calls. River is a K giving me the nuts and I quickly bet $150 and he quickly calls and shows KQ. I'm really bad at river check/raises and almost never get them in because most AC players don't value bet weaker hands but this was for sure a spot to check raise all-in and he would have called.
The other cooler hand I had, a guy blind raised UTG (its contagious) to 4, one call, I make it 11 with 77, new guy just calls, UTG folds and other guy calls 3 to the flop. 9h 7h 3x, check, I bet 20, new guy calls, other kid calls. Turn Qx, check I bet 75 new guy makes it 175 with like 75 left behind.. kid thinks forever and folds.. I push all-in he calls and he has QQ???? that sucked a lot.
Despite losing those two huuuge pots I was winning a ton of small pots over and over but then missing big draws and losing most of the bigger pots I played. I bluffed so many hands though to keep the losses to a minimum and ended up down $260 for the day after another short session.
Thanks for reading and please leave comments to let me know if you guys enjoy the blog and the hands. I'd like to see if my readers like me just posting hands or if you'd rather me go back to posting other details non-poker related of my life.
Thanks,
Tre

I started out playing super fast again today because I was at what seemed to be a pretty tight game so I was trying to loosen up the action a bit. In the first half hour I raised a ton of pots and took them all down with c-bets without getting played back at or without having someone else hit a hand. In these games, no one ever plays back at you for the most part so if they are raising you on the flop they almost always have two pair or better. I forgot this key element of my game when I raised with the 36h from UTG to 12 and just the SB called. I had c-bet him multiple times with no problem and any time he had hit a flop he had bet into me and I had folded.. once he showed a flopped set. So the flop comes Qc Jc 2x, he checks I bet 21 and he raises to 42. I hadn't seen this move from him before and he had exhibited some weak/tight tendencies prior so I decide to make it $106 hoping he mucks a queen or a jack. He beats me in the pot with a call so I know for sure he either has QQ, JJ, 22 or QJ and I'm done with the hand unless I can imagine some other way to bluff off my money. Well the turn is a 5 and now I have outs.. he checks I check.. river is 7c completing flush and he thinks and checks.. I have $210 behind and try to sell the flush and bet $130.. he thinks a full five minutes.. says he thinks I have the flush and then calls and his 22 is obv. good. This set up a ton of stuff for me later though because the rest of the night I got paid off every hand.
I pounded on the guy to my direct right the entire night. When I got to the table he had about $500 or so in front of him. Just a few hands against him.. He limps I raise QJh in position to 12 he calls. Flop is sexy Qx 9h 3h.. he leads for 20 I make it 51 he calls.. turn Kx... check, check.. river Ax check and I check behind as well and I'm good vs. Q10. I raise J8s in position he calls, flop 10 9 x he leads 20 I make 50 and he folds. He makes it 5 from SB I make it 17 with AQo he calls.. flop Q Q 5 he leads 25 I call turn 9 he checks I bet 45 he folds. There were a few other pots where I raised him and he mucked as well.. and then the big one happened. He limps, I make 12 in position with QhJx he calls.. flop Kh 10h 6x, he leads 15 I make it 36 he makes it 75 and I call. Turn is 9h, he bets 90, I push all in and he has like 250 left and calls it all off with KxJh drawing dead to a chop. He said after the hand that he "was tired of folding to me every hand and that he had a lot of outs" LOL.
Other big hand I had I raised A6d UTG to 12, got two callers.. flop 9 6 3 rainbow.. I bet 31, one older donk guy thinks a bit and makes some little speech about how I didn't even look at the flop when I bet and he calls. Turn is 6 and I bet 35 but I meant to bet 55. He insta-calls.. river is 10 and I bet 60 and he insta-calls again with 910 and then complains about the way I played my hand saying that he thought I had much better cards than what I had.
We got down to 4 handed and I played a lot of small pots.. then raised 45c on button to 6 and both blinds call.. flop Ac 9x 8x.. checks around turn 2c, SB bets 12 I call.. river Qc.. he bets 15.. i shove all in.. he has like 90 behind and calls with A9 and then complains about how I bad beat everyone.
Game breaks and I move to a new game where I play only one big hand and lose it.. and got outplayed for sure. Unknown kid limps UTG, donk that i pounded on limps and I make it 12 on button with QJc and both call. Flop 10d 3d 3x.. check to me I bet 20, UTG calls, other folds. Turn is Qx and he leads 35.. on the flop I figured he had to have diamond draw or middle pocket pair.. I didn't feel like he was that strong though.. he had 90 left behind and I decide to call. River is 3 and he moves all-in for the $90 and I call and he shows KK to my amazement... I don't think I've seen someone play a hand like that and actually know what they were doing in AC for a long time. NH sir.
I ended up $341 for the session and called it quits after 3 hours because Jody's shift was finished.

I might not post the day after my sessions but I have notes from all sessions and the blogs will go up within a day or two so keep checking back. Lots of hands from today.
First hour or two this morning was sick.. I wasn't getting dealt any hands but I was raising blind UTG to 7 to get the action going and winning every time I did that.. Here are the hands..
Blind raise UTG to 7 with 92o.. get 5 callers.. flop 10 5 4 rainbow which looks great for my 9 high so I bet 20.. sb calls.. turn 6 he checks i check.. river 3 he checks and i bet 30 and he folds and I show my sexy straight.
Blind raise UTG to 7 with 58o.. middle aged guy who thinks he knows everything about poker and tries to emulate Phil Hellmuth makes it 20.. everyone folds and I call still in the dark. Flop is 7 5 2 rainbow.. I check he bets 30.. i look at my cards and call.. I'm 100% sure he doesn't have a pair. Turn is 4.. i check he bets 40 and I just call again.. river is 9 i check planning on calling any bet.. he has like 130 left but gives up and tables QJo and I show my 58 and take the pot.. which had him mumbling to himself and trying to Hellmuth smack talk.
I take a break and come back and post in MP.. UTG blind raises to 4 and I make it 16 with KJo.. 4 players call including UTG blind raiser. Flop is 10 9 7 rainbow.. check to me and I bet 36 and just UTG calls... I don't think he has too strong of a hand. Turn is 2o he checks and I bet 85 and he thinks for a while and calls.. I'm done with hand unless I improve I think. River is 3o, he checks again and he looks like he's gonna call a bet so I check behind and he tables 102o for two pair.
I make it 17 from CO with AJo and get 4 calls. Flop A 7 6.. check to me I bet 55, small blind donk calls leaving himself 15 behind.. everyone else folds.. turn is 3 he puts last 15 in and I call and he has A3o LOOOL river is 7 though to ship me pot.
Button makes it 6 and there are a bunch of limpers so I call 4 more from BB with Q2d.. 5 to flop J 3 2 with one diamond.. check to button who bets 15.. I don't think he has much so I peel and everyone else folds.. turn is 7d.. i check he checks.. river 3d I bet 27 and he calls and mucks.
UTG loose kid limps.. i complete SB with Q4c. BB checks.. flop 10c 4c 3c.. checks around.. turn 3o... i bet 10, BB calls, UTG makes it 25.. I call BB calls.. river Jo. I bet 30, BB folds and UTG calls with A3o.
I make it 11 UTG with J9o 6 handed.. loose kid and BB call.. flop Q 9 4 rainbow.. I bet 17, loose kid calls, BB folds.. turn 7 i check, he checks.. river 2.. i check he bets 30 and I call and I'm good vs. his K10.
I make it 15 in MP with 77 and get 4 callers.. flop J 7 4 rainbow.. SB shoves for 40.. i call everyone else folds and he has 44.. wish he had more money.
Very next hand I make it 15 again with AdAs.. loose Euro and loose kid both call in position on me.. flop K 8 3 all clubs.. I check, Euro bets 15, loose kid calls, I make it 75 and they both muck.
Overall just a lot of small and medium pots for the night.. ended up winning $415. Probably will be taking off this morning because I haven't slept in almost 28 hours.
Thanks for reading.

Today was the worst day of 1/2 NL that I have had in 3 years. I was really tired having only slept about 2 hours the day before and it just wasn't my night. I didn't play particularly great and I lost a monster hand to a cooler. I was literally dealt into no more than 50 hands in 2 hours and it was awful.I started out playing fast and loose as usual and was quickly stuck $75 after raising like every hand and missing every flop. Here's the carnage..
Raise K5d to 17 after a bunch of limpers and get two callers. Flop 7h 5h 7d.. EP player pushes all-in for 50, next to act folds.. I make probably neutral ev call.. he has 1010.. turn is Qd and I brick river.
UTG euro raises to 14, one caller, I call from CO with A4d.. Flop K 8d 3d.. UTG bets 30, next folds.. I make it 135 figuring I can get him to fold QQ, JJ, 1010 etc... he shoves for $20 more.. I call obv.. he has AK so i just have flush draw and whiff on turn and river.
The only hand I win.. one limper I make it 12 from MP with 910h, everyone folds back to limper who shoves for 60 total.. i call.. final board is J 6 3 A 5 and I win with 10-9 high vs. his 10-7 high LOOOOL.
Cooler of the night.. we are 5 handed and same UTG euro makes it 7... i moved my seat so i'm directly to his left and call with 910o. We take flop heads up and I flop the nuts.. J 8 7 rainbow.. he bets 10 and I call.. turn is 3 he bets 25, I make it 60 and he calls.. river is 8.. he has 195 left and I bet 150 and he shoves.. i throw up and call and he has 78c for the 4 outer on the riv... i get up and take a walk because I'm stuck 600 after like 45 minutes.
Go to a new table after taking a walk.. play tight for a little bit and then raise to 11 from CO with QJh.. 4 to the flop.. Jc 8c 3x.. check to me I bet $30 and EP player calls.. I'm pretty sure he has flush draw.. turn As.. he checks and I look at his stack and think he has around 50 left so thats what I bet.. he calls.. river is a small blank.. i think he has only like 10 bucks left so i check behind and he shows A7c to take the pot.. but he actually had a black chip that I didn't see so he actually had $150 behind on the turn so I may have played the hand differently had I noticed that... oh well..
Quit that game because it sucked and took another walk.. come back to another game.. Make it 15 with 99 from MP.. get 3 callers.. flop A 10s 9s.. check to me I bet 40.. everyone folds to the last guy who goes all in for 60.. i call he has A8s.. turn Qs.. river brick and I'm done for the night after two hours of misery.
I lost $800 which may not seem that much to online players.. only 2 and 2/3 buyins but for live play for me that is very abnormal.

05/11/07
I plan on bringing a little notebook with me when I play so I can write down all my hands because it is very difficult for me to remember them all considering I play like every hand over my 7 hour sessions... here we go..
Game was short when I showed up and I started how playing really loose and fast. I was raising and c-betting almost every hand and taking most of them down on the flop. Folded to me in CO I make it 12 with KJo, SB calls, BB calls.. flop Ks 9s 3x, SB bets 12 BB folds I call.. turn 5o he checks, I bet 42 which is half of what he has left.. he thinks for literally 2 minutes and given my image so far I'm praying him to shove a 9 or something else.. finally he does, I call the 42 more and he shows KQ and river is 9... lol. Few hands later it folds to donk on button who make it 12, I call in SB with AKo.. heads up to flop.. 9 3 2 rainbow... I check he bets 15 I call.. turn 5 I check, he bets 25, I think he has nothing and make it 75 and suprisingly he calls.. river 4 ball and I make wheel and bet 80 and he shoves for like 200.. whoops?? I call and he tables AJo (wtf) and we chop.
Get a few new players in the game.. AJ donk makes it 10 from hijack and I make it 37 from CO with QQ, SB is new player and cold calls 37, AJ donk calls as well. Flop 7 4 2 rainbow, check, check I bet 95, SB calls after shrugging his shoulders and i put him on 88-JJ.. donk folds.. turn is 4 and he shoves for like 150 I call and river is blank and he shows A5c???? thanks for donation sir.
I played a ton of small pots where I took it down on the flop or turn but nothing real interesting... limped pot I have J2o in BB.. flop 4 2 2 rain.. sb bets 10, i call, EP calls, big donk makes it 35 total, sb folds i call, limper folds.. turn 9 check check river 10 i bet 50 he calls and mucks. At this point we were like 5 or 6 handed and I began raising blind and betting flops blind and winning pots over and over lol.. then i raise 72s from CO after a few limpers.. everyone calls and we see flop 6 handed. Flop A 10h 8h everyone checks INCLUDING button. Turn 5h.. LAG but knows what he's doing kid to my right who has run bad bets 30, button smoothies and everyone else folds river 9h, kid checks, button bets 30 and kid is upset and calls and shows K6h.. button shows....... AhAx LOL sick... just called my raise on the button and had everyone call behind him.. that was the last hand I thought he had... he didn't really know what he was doing... there was no strategy there and he went broke a bit later.
Game gets 3 and 4 handed but we play through.. its me solid kid to my right and super asian donk.. super asian donk played a hand earlier where he limped 910o.. LAG kid to my right made it 12.. and we went 6 to the flop.. flop 9 8 2 with two diamonds. Asian donk bet 15, LAG kid calls, AA guy mini raises to 30.. asian donk calls, kid calls.. turn 6o.. asian guy bets 50, kid makes it 120.. AA guy all in for 150.. asian donk all in for 200 total.. kid calls and has 57.. AA guy has 22 and asian donk has 910.. river 7 ball.. lol. So we are threehanded and he makes it 6 on button, kid calls and I call the 4 more with J6o.. flop K 6d 5d.. check, I bet 12.. asian donk thinks a while and calls, kid calls.. turn 6o check I bet 27, asian donk makes it 80.. we are both pretty deep.. kid folds I call river brick I check and he thinks a while and checks AKo.. I def missed a bet obv.
Finally my two fav. hands of the night.. I was blind raising UTG to 7 every time.. So its 7 dark from me.. girl calls 7 with 30 left behind.. button calls as well and we are 3 way to flop and I bet 30 in the dark which would put the girl all-in.. flop is A J x and she puts the 30 in and other kid folds.. i look at my hand and I have J10.. she has A7 and i tell her sorry because you know the turn is a 10....
Next round again I blind raise.. get 4 callers and SB makes it 25 total.. I look at my hand and I have 68d which is obv huuuge.. i call and two others call behind.. i tell the kid to my right that i like my hand best.. i see the door card is a 9 and say its a good card.. flop comes 10 9 7 with two clubs and i say thank you out loud to the dealer. SB checks, I bet 100.. fold fold.. SB all in for 120 total.. he has AJc so he's drawing very live but I dodge on turn and river.
Ended session up $665.. but I definitely tipped out at least $100 because we were shorthanded for a lot of the night.. bad habit of mine tipping too well... lol.
More tommorow.

Hello again my friends
Hello to everyone that used to read this blog and hopefully a few new readers. A ton has happened since my last update but I'd rather not get into all of it.. lets just say I won a lot of money.. then spent almost all of it on a new car and traveling all over the country.. put myself in a bad place financially and since have been grinding about as hard as you can grind. My blog updates now will just consist of my hands that I play every night so it will be all poker content. I play 1/2 NL at the Borgata Thursday to Monday from 3 am to 10 am. I have been playing on this schedule for about 3 weeks now and find it to be a great time to play because most people are not regulars and they are mostly drunk/tired players. I also play this schedule because it is easiest for me because that is when Jody works so I drive in and park with her for free. The sleep and eating schedule change has been difficult but I'm slowly getting used to it. If everything goes according to plan I'll be moving back up to 2/5 NL then eventually 5/10 NL within a few months. Okay so on to the hands from this morning...
5/10/07
Get into a 6 handed game where all stacks are deep except button in this hand. Folds to him and he makes it 12 to go, I call in SB with 1010, BB calls. Flop Js 10s x. I check, BB checks, button shoves for 85.. I call, BB folds.. he mucks I win. Limp 35s in LP, limped pot 5 ways.. flop J 5 3 with two hearts.. SB bets 6, BB super donk calls 6, EP makes it 15, I make it 45, SB folds, BB super donk calls 39 more, EP folds. Turn Ko, he checks I bet 85 he folds. Game breaks..
Get moved to a sick game with several 80-160 players who are just messing around. Limped pot, I complete in SB with A10h, BB knuckles 5 to flop. 10 8 4 rainbow.. I bet 10, BB calls, folds to button who makes it 30 with 60 total behind.. I make it 60 total.. BB thinks a long time and calls 50 more.. button puts rest in.. I put BB on 79 or J9.. turn J.. i check fold to 30 bet.. he shows........ Q9 LOOOOOOOL. calls 50 more with gutterball and overcard and bangs gin on turn. Game is 6 handed.. I raise 89c UTG to 11, 4 to the flop.. Js 8s 4x.. i check.. checks to button who weakly bets 10.. i consider raising but just call.. super donk from other game calls 1o as well. turn Qx I bet out $27, super donk calls button folds.. river 10s I block bet 30 and he folds.
Biggest pot of the night for me: Limped pot I complete 35o in SB. Flop A 8 4 rainbow.. check to one of the 80/160 players, he bets $7, cutoff calls, button calls, I call and super donk calls. Turn is gin 2s putting two spades on board.. I bet out $35, super donk calls, 80/160 thinks a bit and makes it $60 more, he's got about $170 behind after that.. I think awhile and know that his range is huge here and make it $110 more... I would have liked to just called and let super donk call as well but I thought that 80/160 could reasonably have a pair/draw combo. Super donk folds and 80/160 just calls.. river is 10o, I shove and he folds showing A3s.
80/160 moved seats and raises to $7 UTG but he had been raising every single hand.. one caller and then tight/solid young kid regular makes it $23 from SB.. I make it $77 from BB with KK.. everyone folds back to him and he calls.. I put him on QQ or JJ for sure.. maybe 1010.. Flop is A 8 5 rainbow.. He checks, I check, turn blank he checks I bet $55 and he folds JJ face up. I wouldn't have won much from him either way and I woudn't have lost too much had the flop come with a Q or J.
Jody got done really early this morning so I racked up after only 2 hours of play with a nice $560 win.
Thanks for reading and continue to stop by daily for updates.

Goodbye for a while
Things have been awesome for me lately... I chopped Trump Classic Event 12 heads up for 14k, won a ton of money in cash games and have gotten to travel to a bunch of very cool places... this has left little time for blogging and honestly I just haven't felt like it. I don't know if anyone even reads this anymore so it probably won't matter much that I'm not going to post much anymore. Who knows maybe I'll get the urge to write stuff from time to time but if anyone wants to chat with me my name on AIM is TreMomey or you can just come to AC and find me at the Trop most likely.
Here are some pics from the Trump Classic:

Good week so far
Monday night I played the Trop tourney. The buy in is $40+10 with a $40 add-on after the first hour. Everyone starts with 5k in chips and the add-on is for 5k. Blinds start at 25-50 and increase every 20 minutes. There were 159 entrants this week with 18 places being paid and 4k guaranteed for first place. I played one of the best all around tournaments of my life and was never all-in with all my chips in the pot. With 20 players remaining I had about 60k in chips which was right around average but I had great table position. The bigger stacks were all to my right and the shorter stacks to my left. I also had a good read on my table which really allowed me to exploit them on the bubble. Everyone was SERIOUSLY asking about chopping 18-20 ways, LOL. They actually had a 19 way chop of the 10k first place guaranteed tourney a few weeks ago. Anyway I knew that no one at my table wanted to go broke on the bubble despite the fact that the payouts were SOOOO top heavy. I went in to maniac mode basically. The blinds were 2k/4k/300. The CO who had about 70k min raised to 8k and I had a read that min raise= weak so I shoved with two random cards from the button and he mucked. The next hand he raised to 12k and despite the fact that I knew he had a stronger hand than last time I shoved AQh and he mucked 99 face up and called me an idiot for "messing around with another big stack". I shoved twice again over the top of other people's raises and they folded both times. I then raised the next 3-4 hands in a row and took the pot down preflop. The bubble burst and I was fortunate to pick up QQ and shove over the top of another big stacks raise and he called me with AJ and I held. I then called an all-in with K10o and I was ahead as he had QJ but he flopped a J to double up. The next hand I called another all-in with KQo and he had K6d and turned a flush. Despite these two hands I still had a monster stack and eventually knocked out the QJ guy and another player with AQc vs. QJ and AJ. When we got to the final table I had about 500k, another kid had 500k and the remaining 8 players had 300k between them. The blinds were 15k/30k so needless to say the final table went quick. I knocked out two players on the first hand with KQ vs. QJ and 26o. The other kid knocked out almost everyone else though and he was running really hot. We got down to threehanded and unfortunately I was in a really crappy position because I had him to my left and the other remaining player to my right meaning I would have to play pots OOP vs. the big stack and get shoved on by the short stack when I was in the BB. Eventually the other kid knocked out the shorty and we got HU with him having 900k and me having 400k. The blinds were 15/30k still.. we probably only played like 10-12 hands at the final table. The first hand I folded rags from the button and he showed JJ. Second hand he raised button and I folded rags again and he showed AQo. Third hand I completed with Q7s and he raised and showed KK when I folded. 4th hand he raised button to 90k and I shoved 300k with A7o and he called with QJ and flopped a J to win the tourney. I finished second for 2.2k which I was pretty happy about and there really was nothing else I could have done to win the tourney.
Afterwards I went out to a few bars with some of my friends who deal at the Trop to have some drinks. I got home like 8:30 am on Tuesday morning and slept most of the day. I headed back up to the Trop later that night to play some cash games and found myself in a very soft 1/2 NL game. I basically powered my way through the 3-4 hour sesssion and won about $400 with only two showdowns. The first showdown was against a pretty big donk and I thought I exploited him pretty well. I raised in EP to $15 with AQo and he called on the button. The flop came Q 5 2 with two diamonds and I bet $20 and he called. I thought he most likely had a middle PP. The turn was an offsuit 6 and I checked to him and he bet $20 and I raised to $60 and he called. The river was an offsuit 10 and I bet $50 and he shrugged and called with 44. The only other hand I went to showdown with I raised in MP with A7s and a loose/crappy player called in position. The flop came 3s 4x 6s and I bet $15 and he called, the turn was the 9s giving me the nuts, I checked he shoved like $70 and I called obv. and unfortunately for him he had KQs.
Yesterday I went to the Rise Against and Thursday concert at the House of Blues at the Showboat. Rise Against is my favorite band and it was a helluva show despite the countless 12-17 year olds that were there. I didn't really feel like partying last night because I hate having to deal with all the crowds so I took it easy. I've been playing a lot of 6 max Limit on Tilt lately and have been doing really well at the 3/6 level. I have made occasional jumps to 5/10 when I have seen good games. I have the bankroll to play much higher but I am very focused on becoming a good limit player before I move up. Last night there were several good 5/10 and 8/16 games that I had been watching so I played them and did very well. Today, I was playing in a sick 5/10 game but was running awfully in that game as well as two 3/6 games. Despite that I was only down like 2 BB's when this sick hand happened...

What made it even worse was that me and that particular player had been battling a ton and I had never had/made a hand until this one so I was like.. god finally I'm gonna beat this guy in a hand.. obv not.
I'm heading up to Trop shortly to put in another Thanksgiving session. Historically, Thanksgiving has been great to me at the Trop so hopefully that continues.

It's been a while..
Sorry for lack of updates daily. I really don't know why I haven't updated.. I guess just laziness. I've been playing quite a bit and have continued my success over the past few weeks. Since my last update I won another 180 SnG on PS. I also managed to satellite my way into 3 of the FTOPS events for very cheap however I ran pretty badly in all three events. The first event I played I ran JJ into the table donk's QQ who just called preflop OOP and stacked me after a ten high board on the turn. The second event I played was a 6 man event and I thought I played pretty well throughout but lost a major pot for a very big stack when I got all-in PF with AK vs. the button's AQ and he turned a Q. I still had an avg. stack but that went out the window when I again got it all-in against the button with AK except this time he had AA. The other event I played was the HORSE event and I ran awful in this as well and really could never get anything going.
Besides all these donkaments I pretty much have just been playing cash games and doing pretty well. I have begun to mix a big of Limit into my game just to keep me a bit sane and to mix things up a bit. I have spent most of the past month in Philly at my new "place" and this change of environment has been very good to me. I have also been really focusing on improving my tournament game as much as possible and really learning from the mistakes that I make when I play. Tommorow I'm gonna head back down to Margate for the week to get some live play in. I haven't played live in what feels like forever. I'm gonna play mostly 1/2 NL cash games and I'm going to try to play a few satellites for the upcoming Trump Classic and the WSOP Circuit event. I don't know who reads this blog and if anyone would be interested but I am looking for backers for several of these events. Most of them are $300+40 or $500+60 events. I can provide my advanced PokerDB stats as well as my live tournament stats for anyone interested.
Besides all the poker I have basically been taking it easy, going to the gym and hanging out with friends. We had a monster housewarming party last night that went really well and tonight I'm headed out to a few bars to celebrate a friends Birthday. I'll be travelling to Chicago for a weekend at the beginning of December but besides that I'll pretty much just be going back and forth between AC and Philly.
Thanks for reading,

Rushin
I made a goal starting on Saturday to make 3k by the following Saturday. I have a ton of bills to pay off and have barely broken even playing poker over the last 3 weeks. In that same time span I've spent a great deal of money traveling and partying. This is a similar pattern that I've developed over the past year and half that I've been playing for a living. As I have said before I am comfortable with this lifestyle as long as I don't go broke obv. When I first started out on this poker journey I had the usual illusions of becoming famous and making millions. During the times of struggle the pressure on myself to be great made it even more difficult to shake off those bad days. When I did have success I often tried to move up to quickly or play bigger tournaments hoping for that huge score that could catapult me to the next level. More recently I've been content to play enough to make enough to get me by and have a great time doing it. I still take shots occasionally especially when I see a game at a higher level that is really good. This article at P5's basically describes my outlook on things right now..
http://www.pocketfives.com/D1EE69C6-E0E0-4FD3-BA9D-545F29823FDE.aspx
Who knows maybe this outlook will change but if not I'm completely happy making my money and having a good time.
So back to my goal.. 3k in 7 days. I figured I would play cash games throughout the week and mix in a few tourneys. I had deposited on Full Tilt because of the bonus and rakeback so I figured I'd 2 table $100 NL there and 2 table $100 NL on Bodog. I had about $50 on PS from my FCP Strat tourney win so I figured I'd play a few small tourneys on there. On Saturday night I played a $10 180 man SnG which I won for $540.
Late Sunday night I played a $20 + 2 on PS that started at Midnite. There were 909 entrants with first place getting 4.5k. I was able to finish 5th for $978. I went really card dead at the final table which was unfortunate because the play was awful. I got it all in for a 200k pot with 88 vs. AJ and couldn't win the race or I'd have some chips to contend with the donks.
On Monday afternoon I played the $24+2 7.5k Guaranteed on Tilt. 422 entrants total with first place getting 2.5k. Once again I was very card dead at the final table but managed to finish 4th for $911.
With these three wins I am very close to my 3k goal in only 3 days. Unfortunately bascially none of this money will go to my bankroll because at the end of the week I have to withdrawl it and give it all away.
I think a key to my success lately has not only been running much better than I was but I have been so much more patient. I think when I was struggling in tournaments I was trying to push too hard to make things happen instead of just playing my game and letting the cards fall. I have also been living in Philly lately with 3 of my best friends which I feel has made me play better for some reason.
Anyway.. hopefully I'll be back later in the week with some more final table updates.

I am a nomad...
.. and this is gonna be long. Grab a big gulp and a hot dog and get ready to waste about 3 hours of your life, lol.
Since my last update I've done so many things and seen so many places. I'll try not to leave anything out but it's almost inevitable that I'll forget stuff. Also, just to note.. it was a goal of mine to eat at places that I have never eaten before so I'll be talking a lot about that.
My flight left Philadelphia at 3:55 PM headed for a quick stop in Phoenix before my final destination in San Diego. I was extremely late to the airport and almost missed my flight. I was the last person on the plane which means my big ass had to sit in a middle seat for 6 hours. I ordered a bunch of rum and cokes and passed out and beforehttp://good-tim I knew it we were in Phoenix. I ate my first meal of the trip at Yoshi's Asian Grill in the Phoenix Airport. I had Mongolian beef with white rice and brocolli which was just okay and a little bit small for my appetite. My flight arrived in San Diego around 9:30 and my friend Kristin picked me up ready to head back to the East Coast. We made a few stops first, though. A girl I went to college with had moved out there about a month ago so I made sure to stop by and see her. Kristin took me for my second meal at In and Out. I had only eaten In and Out one time when I was in Vegas so I was pretty hyped for the meal. However, I wasn't too hungry since I had just eaten a few hours ago so I just got a Double Double animal style. Man that was so frickin good.. I can't wait to eat at In and Out again. We made one final stop at the Boronga (sp?) Casino. I didn't gamboool or anything but I did check out the poker room and it seemed to be pretty active. One of my best friends is moving to San Diego after the new year so I expect to be out there a lot so its good to know there are some active card rooms around there.
We officially left San Diego around Midnight on Monday night. The longest part of our drive was through Arizona and New Mexico.. it actually represented 1/3 of the entire trip. Let me tell you... there is absolutely NOTHING in these states, lol. We would go like 200 miles without seeing a car. We were driving a little blue Honda Civic hatchback. It is a manual transmission and I had only driven stick a few times before but I said screw it and just gave it a go and did pretty well. Unfortunately, because there was nothing out there in New Mexico it kinda screwed up my eating plans. We couldn't find anything to eat until 3 pm the following day when we stopped at a Carl's Jr. I got a Western Bacon Double Cheeseburger with fries and man this was really really good. The service was excellent too and I must say that everyone down south was much nicer and friendlier then people in the Northeast. Our next meal came at around 11 PM that night in Oklahoma and unfortunately a few of the places that had been recommended to me were already closed. We settled on Waffle House since I had never eaten there before. I got Steak and Eggs with hash browns and rye toast. I was a pretty big fan of the food here as well. We drove straight through the night and ended up right around St. Louis at around 11 am where we stopped at a Sonic. Now I have had Sonic before but the closest one is an hour and twenty minutes away from me and that was just built. Prior to that the closest one was 3 hours away in Virginia. We used to drive all the way down there just to get Sonic. I got the Texas Toaster Chicken with tater tots and mozzarella sticks and a watermelon slush. Nothing beats Sonic man.. I wish I could win a WPT event or something just so I could buy a Sonic and open it in NJ, lol.
Our final meal of the trip came in Columbus, Ohio where we ate a Rally's. I had never had Rally's before but then I realized that Rally's is just Checker's with a different name. Checker's is one of my fav. fast food places so I was pretty happy about that. I got a Bacon Big Buford with loaded Cheese fries. Checker's/Rally's has the best french fries of any fast food restaurant IMO. We arrived back in Jersey at 3 am on Thursday morning. The trip was a total of 51 hours and we went through 12 states total. For pictures from my trip go here:http://community.webshots.com/user/FCPTreMomey
Friday was the first day that I was at my mom's house in like 2 1/2 weeks. I spent the day relaxing and recovering from the trip. I played a home game later that night and then just went to bed. I woke up early Saturday morning to head up to Monmouth University where my sister lives. It was homecoming weekend which meant that when I arrived there at 10 am myself and like 10 girls immediately began drinking. Lots of normal college debauchery and drinking took place and I passed out at like 5 pm. We all woke up around 9:30 and started drinking again and then headed out to a local bar/club where we did some dancin. Like 20 people slept at my sisters house that night so the comfortable spots were pretty much taken.
After the game I headed to Philly. My two best friends just moved into a brand new apartment in Philly right under 95 in Fisht0wn. I have basically been living there and taking care of things while they are at work/school. I will probably be staying there a few days a week.
On the poker front.. things have been very crappy for me lately in cash games. I think over the past two weeks I've broken even or maybe lost like a buy in and that hasn't really happened to me in a long time at the stakes that I play online. I need to get back into the swing of things because I have spent a lot of money in the past few weeks and have made none. I have a bunch of big bills that I have to pay coming up in the beginning of November as well so its time to get stuff done.
Hope everyone enjoyed this long ass blog.

Another Weekend Update
I don't have much to report on the poker front.. pretty much just continuing to grind it out in the cash games. Poker can get pretty boring for me when I do it every day and talk about it every day so it's nice to be able to talk about the things I do with the time that is allowed to me because of poker.
I had to wake up very early Friday morning to travel to Phoenixville, PA with my mom and my little sister to visit my Grandmother. She has been sick for about 2 years now but it has been getting pretty bad lately and she just had a few operations done this past week and it was pretty rough to see her in the condition she was in. It looks like things are going to get better but we'll see what happens. We got back from there around 5 pm and I had to rush around to get ready for my 5 year High School Reunion. We met up at my friend Raj's to pregame a bit and to do the official weigh in for my weight loss bet. About 4 months ago, I made a bet with a friend of mine named Romeo on who could lose a larger percentage of their weight in 3 months. Well we both sucked on the bet so we decided to extend it for one more month culminating this past Friday. Unfortunately I continued to suck and about 2 weeks prior I went on a crazy rush of going to the gym to try to salvage a last second win. When we originally weighed in I weighed 238 lbs and she weighed 138 lbs. I was up to 252 lbs at one point but managed to get that down to 244 so I gained 6 lbs, lol. She somehow managed to lose 3 lbs and won the bet. We made a double or nothing that will end on November 20th so hopefully I can continue the effort that I've put in over the past two weeks.
We headed to the reunion and showed up a little bit late at about 7:30. It was held at a place called Stone Grille which is a place I don't really care for much but whatever. We had about 250 people in our graduating class and about 70 of them showed up. I got to see and catch up with a lot of people I haven't seen in forever so that was pretty awesome. Obviously, we had a great time and got pretty ripped. I was hurt up pretty bad because I had woke up early that morning so I made it an early night and got home by 2 am.
The next morning I was awake bright and early around 7 am and drove up to New Brunswick in preparation for my trip to Pittsburgh. I met up with a couple of RU friends and we took off from New Brunswick around 9 am. The game started at 5:45 so the plan was to get to Pittsburgh by about 3 so we could do some drinking before the game. The trip itself was a lot of fun and the guys I went with are a blast to hang out with. We did get a $158 speeding ticket in the middle of the Penn. turnpike so that sucked. We managed to make pretty decent time despite some traffic and construction. We got into Pittsburgh at about 4 and had to take care of a couple of things before we got to drinking.. We had to get beer, tickets, and find parking. Unfortunately, no one who lived in Pittsburgh had any idea how to do these three things. Everyone was absolutely clueless and of no help whatsoever and this became a recurring theme throughout the day. We eventually found a beer distributor in the hood somewhere and picked up a 30 block, then it took about 30 minutes to find a place that we could actually park, and eventually we were able to buy tickets at the window after dealing with several braindead scalpers. We killed a ton of beers in a short time and headed into the game. We caught a lot of shit on the way into the game from Pitt fans but I pretty much expected it. Our seats were way up top of Heinz field but I didn't mind it too much because the sun was out and the seats offered a beautiful view of the city. After the first quarter we moved down to the RU section which was on the bottom level and offered a much better view of the game. The game was awesome and we ended up taking it home with a 20-10 win. We are now 7-0 and ranked #14 in the BCS and #16 in the polls.
After the game we headed over to a local spot called Hi-Tops. There were a ton of RU fans there going crazy so it was definetely a good time. We were dancing it up and drinking a lot and there were definetely some crazy drunk girls at this place. Most of them were way too sloppy to be taking anywhere at 11 pm, lol so we headed to another place. We ended up walking like 1.5 miles to the "Strip" because nobody in Pittsburgh could tell us how to get a fucking cab. We ended up at this place called Tequila Willies and man was this a good choice for a place to go. It was really big which I loved because I hate crowded tight places and it was definetely a big party spot. We did a ton of dancing and partying but most of the girls were pretty cold there. It seemed like most of them were either there with guys or were there strictly to hang out with their girl friends... either that or me and my friends have no game haha. We left that spot at about 2 am and called for a cab which of course didn't come for about 30 minutes. When it did come it had a dude in the front seat so we had to squish 5 guys into the back. We stayed at my friend Ryan's sisters house and I got a good 5 hours sleep on a hardwood floor. We headed back today with a pretty uneventful ride home.
My overall impressions of the city of Pittsburgh... I thought it was a beautiful city. The many bridges and mountains and different views offered were very very awesome. The architechture of the city overall was awesome. It was also very clean.. at least the parts I was in. It seemed weird though, except for immediately following the game it seemed like there was no one around. This morning when we left it seemed like a ghosttown. Also sucking was the fact that everyone seemed completely braindead and the total lack of transportation was pretty shitty. Overall though it was an awesome trip.
Tommorow I leave for San Diego at 4 pm. I am staying there one night and then we are driving back to NJ. Stay tuned for updates from the trip..
